Role Based Access Control for Warehouse Teams

Role based access control for warehouse teams means every person who signs in to TrackVid gets a role, and that role decides exactly what they can view and what they can edit. You create the roles yourself, tick the areas each one needs, and scope people to the packing stations they work on.

Unlimited team members. No per-seat charge.

How Role Based Access Control for Warehouse Teams Works

TrackVid ships three role names: admin, user and system_admin. An admin controls the whole company account and skips the permission map. The system_admin role belongs to the TrackVid team, never to a seller.

Every other role is one your company creates, carrying a permission map where each line is an area plus an action. View and edit are set separately, so a person can read a claim without changing it.

Which Roles Should You Create?

TrackVid ships no ready-made job roles: no built-in packer, receiver, claims executive or manager. You build the roles your operation needs.

The names are yours. The mechanism is the point: create a role, tick what it can view and edit, then assign people to it. A role built for claim automation gets claims, not billing.

The mechanism
  1. Create a role
  2. Tick what it can view and edit
  3. Assign people to it

How Role Based Access Control for Warehouse Teams Scopes People to Packing Stations

TrackVid holds no warehouse object. A packing station is a feed, and every feed belongs to your company, so scoping happens at two levels. Company level is absolute: a user belongs to one company and never sees another company's videos, claims or returns.

Feed level filters inside your account. Recordings, return logs and tickets carry their feed, so a supervisor sees two feeds and a head of operations sees all, in the video management system and ticket management views.

A feed is a filter, not a hard wall per site. For a hard wall, give that building its own company account.

Packer Accountability: Who Recorded It, Who Filed It

Role based access control for warehouse teams is half the job. The record is the other half. Every recording carries its feed and the signed-in user, and every claim carries a history of who created it and every status change.

Remove a user and their access ends at once, while their recordings and tickets stay in place. Storage is covered on the security page.

Unlimited Users and No Per-Seat Fee

Every plan includes unlimited team members. Plans carry credits, storage and retention, not a user count, and billing is per video recorded plus per claim processed. Adding a user costs nothing.

Shared logins break an audit trail. Open pricing carries no setup fee and no hidden charges.

What the Packing Recorder Uses Instead

The permission map above belongs to the dashboard. The packing recorder does not use it.

The recorder is a desktop application at the bench. It signs in as a feed user, the station's own login, and follows your company and feed settings rather than a dashboard role. Go-live is remote and takes under 15 minutes, with no order management system needed: see integrations.

Common Questions About Role Based Access Control for Warehouse Teams

Can I limit someone to recording only?

Yes. Every user gets a role, and a role is a map of what that person can view and edit: video, claims, returns, billing, users, settings and more. A recording-only role sees the packing station and nothing else.

Can a manager see several packing stations in one place?

Yes. A user with view access to the feed and video areas sees recordings, return logs and claim tickets across the stations in your account, filtered by feed, platform, account or status.

Does TrackVid record who filed each claim?

Yes. Every claim carries a history of who did what and when, from creation through every status change. Every recording carries the feed and the user. That record stays with the claim through approval or rejection.

Is there a per-user or per-seat fee?

No. Every TrackVid plan includes unlimited team members. You pay for the videos you record and, for claim automation, per claim processed. Adding users costs nothing.

Can one user have access to several marketplace accounts?

Yes. Seller accounts live on the company, and access to the claims area is granted by role, so a claims executive can work across every account while a packer sees none of them.

Warehouse staff ko limited access kaise dein?

Admin Panel me har user ko ek role dein. Role me tay hota hai ki woh kya dekh sakta hai aur kya badal sakta hai: video, claims, returns, billing, users. Users unlimited hain aur per-seat charge nahi hai.

Can I remove a user who leaves?

Yes. Users are added, changed and removed from the Admin Panel by an admin. Removing a user ends their access immediately; the recordings and tickets they created stay on record.

Kya har role ko alag permission mil sakti hai?

Haan. Har company apne roles banati hai aur har area ke liye view aur edit alag se set hoti hai. Do roles kabhi ek jaise hone zaroori nahi hain.

What This Page Does Not Claim

Roles are yours to design. The placeholder above is where a list of named roles would sit. TrackVid ships none.

No warehouse object. TrackVid is not an order, inventory or warehouse management system. Where this page says station, the thing scoped is a feed.

Your data. Videos sit in AWS S3, travel over HTTPS, reach only your users and roles, and are never shared with anyone else.
