Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
TrackVid runs on prepaid recharge. Recharges are not refundable, and there is no refund option. Credits do not expire with time and stay on your account while it is open. Credits are lost if the account is closed or deleted. Claim filing is charged per claim, whatever the marketplace decides.
Recharges are not refundable
TrackVid is bought as a prepaid recharge. You add a balance, and credits are drawn down as videos are recorded and claims are filed. A recharge is not refundable, and TrackVid does not operate a refund process. What you buy stays with you as credit on the account rather than coming back as money. The plans and what a credit covers are set out on the pricing page.
Credits do not expire with time
There is no expiry date on a credit balance. Credits are not withdrawn after a month, a quarter or a year, and a quiet season does not cost you anything. They stay on the account for as long as the account is open. One condition applies, and it is the next section: credits end with the account.
If you stop using TrackVid, the balance stays
Stopping is not the same as closing. If you stop recording but leave the account open, the credit balance stays exactly as it is and is there when you come back. Sellers with seasonal volume often pause after a sale period and pick up again later, and the balance is unaffected.
If you close the account, credits are lost
Please read this before you close an account. Closing or deleting a TrackVid account ends the credit balance with it. Credits are not refunded, not paid out and not transferred to another account. If there is a balance you want the value of, use it before you close. You can close or delete the account at any time, with no notice period and no cancellation charge. Videos are deleted on the retention schedule described on the security page.
Claim filing is charged per claim, not per approval
A claim is charged when TrackVid files it, not when a marketplace approves it. TrackVid does not guarantee that any claim will be approved. The marketplace decides every outcome against its own policy and window, and a rejected claim is not refunded. The flip side is that there is no commission on what is recovered: a claim that returns a large amount costs the same to file as one that returns a small amount. How filing works is on the claim automation page.
Changes to this policy, and how to reach us

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a refund on a TrackVid recharge?
No. Recharges are prepaid and are not refundable, and TrackVid does not operate a refund process. Credits stay on your account instead, and you can use them whenever you record or file.
Do TrackVid credits expire?
Not with time. Credits stay on your account for as long as the account is open, however long that is. The one condition is account closure: credits are lost when an account is closed or deleted.
What happens to my credits if I stop using TrackVid?
Nothing. If you stop recording but keep the account open, the balance stays exactly as it is. You can come back and use it later. Pausing does not reduce or remove credits.
What happens to my credits if I close my account?
They are lost. Closing or deleting a TrackVid account ends the credit balance with it, and the balance is not refunded or transferred. Use the balance before you close the account.
Do I get the filing charge back if a claim is rejected?
No. Claims are charged per claim filed, not per claim approved. The marketplace decides every outcome, and TrackVid does not guarantee approval. There is no commission on what is recovered either.
Can I cancel my TrackVid account?
Yes. You can close or delete your account at any time, and there is no notice period or cancellation charge. Any credits left on the account are lost when it closes.
