Which parts of TrackVid can be customised?

Four areas are set up per customer: the claim automation, the packing workflow, how long video is kept and where, and the manual claim steps that get automated away.

  • Claim automation

    Claims are filed on your own seller portal access through robotic process automation, with the video and photos attached, the window tracked and the status refreshed. Ten portals are live today.

    For a portal that is not yet supported, the TrackVid team scopes a custom build with you, based on your order volume and need. Timelines are agreed per build. Whether a build is charged depends on its scope, and where a customisation helps other sellers too, TrackVid builds it at no extra cost.

  • Packing workflow

    The standard workflow fits most operations, because most teams pack the same way. Where yours differs, TrackVid adjusts it at no extra cost.

    That covers what starts a recording (a barcode or tracking ID scan, a typed order ID, or the Record button), which stations record, which photos are taken with each order, and when packers use the handheld Android app.

  • Retention and storage region

    Retention is 30, 60 or 90 days, or another period on request, and each video is deleted when its period ends. Videos are stored in TrackVid's AWS account in Amazon S3, with AES-256 encryption at rest, HTTPS in transit and no archive tier, so any video opens in seconds.

    Another storage region can be set up on request and is priced separately. Security is the same in every region.

    On supported portals, TrackVid already replaces repetitive claim work: claims raised from your QC return report, footage-request emails answered automatically, ticket statuses refreshed and bulk sheet updates pushed.

Can TrackVid add claim automation for a marketplace it does not support yet?

Yes. A portal that is not yet supported is added as a custom build, scoped with each customer around order volume and need, using your own seller portal access. Each claim is filed with the video and photos attached and its window tracked.

Is a custom build free?

It depends on the scope of the build. Where a customisation helps other sellers too, TrackVid builds it at no extra cost. Workflow changes to match how your team packs are made at no extra cost.

Can I change how long videos are kept?

Yes. Retention is 30, 60 or 90 days, or another period on request. Each video is deleted when its retention period ends.

Can my videos be stored in another region?

Yes. Videos are stored in TrackVid's AWS account by default, and another storage region can be set up on request, priced separately. Security is the same in every region: AES-256 encryption at rest, HTTPS in transit and role-based access.

Can TrackVid match how my team packs?

Yes. The standard workflow fits most teams, and recording triggers, stations, photos and handheld recording are adjusted to your process at no extra cost.

Do I need an OMS for a custom setup?

No. TrackVid identifies each order at the packing station from the scan, so it runs beside whichever OMS you use, or none.
